Two good places to skate in Columbia, SC are Riverfront Park and the West Columbia/Cayce Greenway. Both are level, paved trails along either side of the Congaree River. Riverfront Park has access from Laurel Street behind the BellSouth building and also from (Broad) River Road. Parking for the Greenway is next to New Orleans Restaurant near the Gervais Street Bridge. Riverfront Park is straight and level while the Greenway winds and turns and is less level and a little more narrow. Riverfront Park is 2.5 miles long, and the Greenway is 2 miles long, but there are plans to extend both of them.
