I lived in Minnesota for many years. It had so many nice trails that it will be hard to choose one. My favorite was actually a mixture of several trails with a lot of variety. I relocated to London, and while it will never offer the quality of Minnesota for skating, if I get out early in the morning I can skate in Hyde Park doing a 4 km loop which is not bad. One piece is truly rough, but is improving my strenght and my ability to cope with rough roads. Maybe I am becoming a better skater, but in London big wheels are almost a must if you want to skate withouth vibrating like a diapason.
In London there are a lot of people, it is a fact, but it is the silly tourists that create problems. Most of them do not respect the bicycle lanes and are all over the places, unfortunately. But, Minnesota will always have a special place in my heart for skating. So many beautiful memories. Oh the thousand of loops I have done around Lake Harriet with the downtown skyscrapers on the background.. I quit here for I need to cry a little bit. Nostalgia.
